Experiencing HIIT and Interviewing.

As I've researched, interviewed, and experienced more and more High Intensity Interval Training, I've learned that not only is it very effective for fat loss, but also very fun. Maybe that is why it's trending!
According to the National Institutes of Health, High Intensity Interval Training is "comprised of brief periods of high-intensity exercise interposed with recovery periods at a lower intensity." For example, one can flip a heavy tire for 30 seconds, resulting in raising their heart rate, followed by a set of light jumping jacks that allows their heart rate to recover and then repeating the exercises.
Being the fitness junkie I am, and currently training for another bodybuilding competition, I put this exercise to use!

Not only did I feel like I accomplished a great workout, but this type of training kept my workout interesting!
I recently interviewed Professor Gold, an Athletic Training coach and Physical Education teacher at Salisbury University to talk about his opinion on HIIT.

Professor Gold says that he uses HIIT opposed to LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) cardio on almost all of his athletes and students because it’s also a faster way to burn calories.

My name is Chip Conto and I have officially created my first blog page. I am extremely athletic and fitness is a huge part of my life. I compete in natural body building as a Men’s Physique Athlete and want to inspire others to reach their own personal health goals. I've realized the more people that are healthy, the happier they are as well.
I am a junior attending Salisbury University and my major is Communications. I am in a "Specialized Reporting for the TV and Web" class and my first assignment is to create a report on something that is trending now-a-days. I am doing my story of types of training that is trending in today’s fitness world. I have learned that High Intensity Interval Training has become very popular and very effective for fat loss. Here is a link to a website where I have gathered some information.
